Overview
The Rotary Club of Greater Silchar observed Samarth Bharat Parva with patriotic fervour under the spirit of Vande Mataram, in collaboration with Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Ramnagar, Silchar. The programme began on a sacred note with the lighting of the lamp, floral tributes to Bharat Mata, and the soulful rendition of the National Song, creating an atmosphere of devotion and national pride. A student’s inspiring portrayal of Swami Vivekananda and an enlightening address by Dr. Sangeeta Bhattacharjee—eminent literary writer, social worker, and former lecturer—beautifully highlighted the life and ideals of the great visionary. The artistic creation of the Map of India with flowers and Indian pradip symbolised unity and strength. The programme was thoughtfully planned and executed under the leadership of Club Literacy Chair Rtn. Raja Bhattacharjee, with the gracious presence of esteemed Rotarians, making it a truly meaningful celebration of nationhood.
