With the compassionate motto, “When your body needs balance, a stick helps; when your mind needs peace, we are here,” the Rotary Club of Greater Silchar, in collaboration with the Rotaract Club of Greater Silchar Royals, undertook a meaningful permanent service project on 24th January 2025 by adopting Jeevandweep Old Age Home. The initiative aims to provide sustained medical care and support to 22 elderly residents, among whom nearly all are affected by high blood pressure, approximately 30% are diabetic, and 10 residents suffer from cardiac ailments. Through regular monthly visits, continuous health monitoring, and timely provision of medicines and medical assistance, the Rotary Club of Greater Silchar reaffirms its steadfast commitment to compassionate service, dignity, and holistic care for the elderly.
