With a deep commitment to service and compassion, the Rotary Club of Greater Silchar successfully organised a Cataract Screening Camp at A.C. Memorial H.S. School, Arunachal, Cachar on 15 February 2026 in association with Choudhury Eye Hospital. During the camp, 30 individuals from the local community were carefully screened, out of which 7 patients were identified with cataract and guided for proper treatment. The noble initiative aimed at restoring vision and spreading hope among those in need. The programme was graciously attended by Club President Rtn. Dr. Rajat Deb, Past Secretary Rtn. Dr. Juri Sharma, and members Rtn. Raja Bhattacharjee and Rtn. Ranbir Dasgupta, whose presence and dedication truly reflected Rotary’s spirit of “Service Above Self,” making the initiative a meaningful step towards illuminating lives.
