On the occasion of the Foundation Day of Rotary International, the Rotary Club of Greater Silchar observed the day with a heartfelt humanitarian initiative by distributing dinner among more than one hundred patients undergoing treatment and their attendants at Silchar Medical College and Hospital on Monday night. The noble gesture reflected Rotary’s enduring spirit of service and compassion, bringing warmth and comfort to those spending difficult moments within hospital walls. Representing the club, Dr. Juri Sharma, Past Secretary of Rotary Club of Greater Silchar, along with Rotarian Rohan Yadav and other dedicated members, personally took part in the service. Members of Rotary RCC Netaji Chatra Yuba Sangstha and Jubo Darpan also actively supported the program. The initiative stood as a touching reminder of Rotary’s commitment to “Service Above Self,” reaffirming that standing beside the underprivileged and those in need remains at the very heart of Rotary’s mission.
