On 12th March 2026, the 3rd day of World Rotaract Week, the Rotary Club of Greater Silchar, in association with the Rotaract Club of Greater Silchar Royal, organized a meaningful service programme at Central Jail, Silchar. Essential medical instruments, including a sphygmomanometer, glucometer, and stethoscope, were handed over to the authorities to support inmate healthcare. An awareness session on handwashing and cleanliness was conducted, with Rotaractor Dr. Nikita Karmakar demonstrating proper hygiene practices. An inspiring address by Rtn. Raja Bhattacharjee further highlighted Rotary’s spirit of service, compassion, and humanity.
