On 24th March 2026, the Rotary Club of Greater Silchar organized a WASH Awareness Programme at Deshabandhu Tarunram Phukan Higher Secondary School, Silchar, marking World Water Day. Rtn. Dr. Juri Sarma demonstrated proper handwashing techniques, highlighting the importance of hygiene in daily life. Dettol liquid handwash was distributed, and a water filter was handed over to ensure access to safe drinking water. The programme was presided over by Club President Rtn. Rajat Deb, reflecting Rotary’s commitment to promoting health, hygiene, and a more aware community.
