On the occasion of World Autism Awareness Day, the Rotary Club of Greater Silchar organized a meaningful awareness programme on Autism Spectrum Disorder at the District Early Intervention Centre, fostering compassion, understanding, and early intervention. Presided over by Rtn. Raja Bhattacharjee, the event brought together medical professionals, parents, and community members to emphasize the importance of timely identification and support, particularly for children from remote areas like Harinagar and Lakhipur. A child identified during the program highlighted the vital impact of such initiatives. The program was graced by Dr. R.B. Malakar, Ms. Manisha Ghosh Roy, and Dr. Mriganka Shekhar Ghosh, who shared valuable insights on the challenges of autism detection in rural communities.
