On 11th July 2025, RC Greater Silchar formally adopted Koomber Tea Estate and its surrounding Tea Tribe population, assigned by the District Health Society through an MoU, to address high maternal mortality, TB prevalence, and other health issues. As part of this initiative, monthly awareness and health screening camps will be held. The first camp, on 15th July, screened 184 people for general health and eye issues.
