On World Hepatitis Day 2025, Rotary Club of Greater Silchar, in collaboration with NVHCP, Cachar, reached out to the residents of Deep De-Addiction Centre, Silcoorie, with a message of hope and health. An awareness session touched upon the importance of hygiene, safe practices, vaccination, and breaking the stigma around Hepatitis B & C. Thirty inmates were screened through Rapid Diagnostic Tests, taking a vital step toward prevention and early treatment. This initiative lit a ray of awareness and care among a vulnerable group, proving that compassion and timely action can save lives.
