To mark Basic Education and Literacy Month, Rotary Club of Greater Silchar inaugurated an Adult Literacy Centre for women at Borakhai Tea Estate, near NIT Silchar. The centre has enrolled 20 female learners, who have begun their journey toward literacy. On 12th September, in collaboration with Rotaract Club of Greater Silchar and Saksham, the initiative was formally launched, with a dedicated teacher appointed to conduct regular classes for the next six months, ensuring lasting impact in promoting women’s adult literacy.
