On 25th September 2025, the Rotary Club of Greater Silchar, in collaboration with SNSPA, organized a special awareness program for adolescents at Tarun Ram Phookan H.S. School. The session focused on crucial topics such as anaemia, menstrual hygiene, early marriage, balanced diet, and mental health. The program began with an inspiring speech by Rtn. Raja Bhattacharjee, Chairman of Literacy, emphasizing the importance of education and adolescent development. Rtn. Suhas Dhar highlighted key points on health and well-being, followed by Rtn. Dr. Juri Sarma, who addressed early marriage and menstrual hygiene, discussing their social and personal impact. Irshadur Rahman, Government Counsellor of S.M. Dev Civil Hospital, Silchar, spoke on adolescent mental health, including stress, anxiety, depression, and warning signs of suicidal tendencies. The program concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by the school principal, leaving students more aware and empowered.
