This Durga Puja, the Rotary Club of Greater Silchar celebrated with purpose, blending festivity and social responsibility. A powerful street play on Sound Pollution was presented at the Apollo Club Pandal in collaboration with Sakshyam NGO, inspiring the audience to celebrate responsibly. Led by Sergeant-at-Arms Rtn. Rohan Yadav and supported by Mr. Mithun of Sakshyam, the initiative touched hearts, while Past Secretary Rtn. Dr. Juri Sharma delivered a compelling speech on environmental care. Special thanks to Rtn. Lalit Verma, Rtn. Mrityunjay Sharma, and Rtn. Mulchand Baid for spreading the message across Udharbond and Silchar, accompanied by IPP Rtn. Joyjeet Biswas. With guidance from President Rtn. Dr. Rajat Deb, Secretary Rtn. Abhijit Paul, and Treasurer Rtn. Pulak Das, this effort truly reflects the Rotary spirit of Service Above Self, bringing awareness, unity, and hope for a cleaner, safer tomorrow.
