On World Suicide Prevention Day i.e. 11th September’ 25, The Rotary Club of Greater Silchar, in association with the District Mental Health Program (Cachar), observed World Suicide Prevention Day to raise awareness about mental health and suicide prevention. Rtn. Dr. Rohan Biswas welcomed the gathering, followed by Rtn. Raja Bhattacharjee emphasizing the role of institutions in promoting mental health literacy. Mrs. Saswati Dutta, Clinical Psychologist, spoke on warning signs, coping strategies, and the importance of seeking help. The event was supported by Rotarians, faculty, and students, fostering open dialogue and awareness on mental health in the community.
