RC Greater Silchar, along with Nehru Yuva Kendra (NYK) and SAKSHAM South Assam, observed the International Day of Older Persons on 1 October 2025 at the Oldage Literacy Centre, Borakhai Tea Garden. Led by Club President Rtn. Dr. Rajat Deb, the Rotaractors played a key role in the celebration. Chief Guest Dr. Mithun Roy spoke on the importance of caring for the elderly. Twenty women learners were honoured with Gamosa and sweets for their inspiring commitment to education. Youth volunteers shared messages of respect and love, followed by a joyful musical session. Regular blood donor Baibhab Deb was also felicitated. The event closed with a warm vote of thanks by coordinator Payel Bagchi.
