Rotary Club of Greater Silchar observed World Diabetes Day at the NCD Clinic, SM Dev Civil Hospital, Silchar, with a meaningful awareness and screening initiative aimed at promoting community health. The program was presided over by President Rtn. Dr. Rajat Deb along with Past Secretary Rtn. Dr. Juri Sarma, while Rtn. Dr. Rohan Biswas set the tone with an insightful introduction on the significance of early detection and lifestyle management. Dr. Madhumita Bhattacharjee, DNO, NCD Clinic, conducted an informative session on diabetes symptoms, risk factors, and the importance of timely diagnosis. In his concluding remarks, Rtn. Suhash Dhar highlighted Rotary’s continued commitment to public health and community service. A total of 57 individuals were screened, with 19 new high blood sugar cases identified and guided for further evaluation and follow-up at the NCD Clinic.
