On 9th December 2025, the Rotary Club of Greater Silchar reached out with compassion and care to the children of Koomber Tea Estate by organizing a child health screening camp dedicated to early detection of nutritional deficiencies and birth-related concerns. With gentle hands and attentive hearts, the medical team examined a large number of children while also sensitively guiding parents on the importance of balanced nutrition and early developmental milestones. The camp became a moment of hope when three children identified with serious nutritional challenges were promptly referred to the Nutrition Rehabilitation Centre (NRC), SMDCH, ensuring they receive timely and specialized care. This meaningful initiative beautifully reflects Rotary’s unwavering commitment to nurturing young lives, preventing illness, and standing beside vulnerable families in the remote tea garden communities—because every child deserves a healthy beginning and a brighter tomorrow.
