With deep compassion and an unwavering commitment to social responsibility, the Rotary Club of Greater Silchar conducted a Free HIV, Hepatitis B & C Screening Camp for 23 newly admitted inmates at Central Jail, Silchar on 12th December 2025, upholding the values of health, dignity, and humanity. The initiative brought immense relief and renewed hope as all screening results were found to be negative, offering reassurance not only to the inmates but also to the jail authorities. Led with dedication by Club President Rtn. Dr. Rajat Deb, with the valuable support of Past Secretary Rtn. Dr. Juri Sharma, Rtn. Pulak Das, and fellow Rotarians, the programme stood as a powerful expression of empathy and care. Truly embodying Rotary’s motto of “Service Above Self,” the camp touched lives by spreading awareness, protection, and compassion where it matters the most.
